The Born Again Life

Do you have the born again life?
“Examine yourselves to see whether you are in the faith; test yourselves.” (2 Cor. 13:5)
Once someone accepts the supernatural blessing of salvation from sin and death – the new birth – certain changes occur in their lives. This born again personality causes difficulty for RLDS/CoC church leaders because it upsets the status quo in the following ways:

  • A born again person transfers their loyalty wholly to Jesus himself.
Loyalty to Jesus takes precedence over loyalty to the church or any church leader.
  • A born again person loves and studies the Word of God.
Scrutiny of the Bible results in a growing awareness of the many difficulties in Joseph Smith’s “scriptures.”
  • A born again person loves righteousness and hates sin.
This makes them less accommodating to the many moral failings of Joseph Smith.
  • A born again person loves the lost.
He or she is highly motivated to witness to everyone who will listen about what Jesus has done for them. They are sensitized to the absence of the salvation message in RLDS/CoC services.
  • A born again person loves the body of Christ.
Unity with other Christians is based solely upon the mutual acceptance of Jesus and His Word.

Has God planted in your heart the love of Jesus?
Has he planted in your heart the love of the Word of God?
Has he planted in your heart the love of righteousness?
Has he planted in your heart a love for the lost?
Has he planted in your heart a love for the body of Christ?

May God grant you the ability to see yourself accurately so you may know where you stand before Him. “We know we have passed from death to life, because we love our brothers.”
(1 John 3:14)
