Stace Webb Testimony

I was raised in the RLDS Church due to the fact that my mother married my stepfather, Marion Smith who was RLDS and a graduate of Graceland College. Consequently, my mother, grandmother, two younger sisters and I joined the church. Since I was very young at the time I didn’t question the RLDS teachings. In 1971, I enlisted in the Navy, but before I left home I was called and ordained to the office of Priest in the Aaronic priesthood. After my Navy discharge I became active in the church and preached in a local RLDS church. When I moved from Wenatchee, Washington to Spokane, Washington, I was preaching in a local congregation and while giving the sermon I felt like I was an actor on a stage just going through the motions and asked myself the question, “is this true Christianity?”

A woman that I had been dating, urged me to talk to an uncle of hers who was really grounded in the Word of God. He was a strong Christian and a great counselor. He counseled with me and prayed for me and as a result I was led to the Lord. The day I accepted Christ as my personal Lord and Savior everything was brand new. PTL! Since that time in March, 1978, I have attended several church denominations – mostly Nazarene and Baptist.

Unfortunately, my family and many friends remain “unsaved.” As a Christian I feel it is my job is to tell them the Good News of the Christian gospel so that they can become united in Christ.
